Eventually, I found another folder with Magix files in:Ĭ:\Users\MY_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\MAGIX\Movie_Edit_Pro_MX_Premium I decided to have another good look around to see if there was anything I'd missed. It got me thinking back along the same lines as yourself, that although I'd uninstalled and deleted some data folders, that somewhere there must still be some corrupt / wrong settings that are preventing the program from working. We're just users like you, and feedback is appreciated. To thoroughly remove all traces of MEP and then re-install from a freshly booted PC. I think in your place, as my next step I'd use Revo Uninstaller, free from here If I can't get Magix working, I'm probably going to have to buy some different video editing software in the next couple of days, so I've got a fighting chance of completing my edit by Monday.Īny help or advice would be greatly appreacated, I have a deadline for something that needs to be finished for Monday (4 days time). Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, dues anyone know a solution to it. Deleted it's program folder and it's ProgramData folder, to make sure all it's previous settings are removed, and reinstalled it from scratch.
I downloaded and installed update 11.0.3.0 which also made no difference. I have run a repair install, which claimed to have repaired my install, but upon trying Magix again, had the exact same error. A few moments later Windows tells me due to an error, Magix stopped working and am given a Close button to click. Yesterday, I tried to start the program and got hit with the message 'MAGIX Video Deluxe MX Plus has stopped working'.
I was using Magix Movie Edit Pro, a few days ago with no problems.
